LIFESAVING volunteers say they have been overwhelmed by support from Worcester residents and businesses.
Traders including BP Castle Street and Lower Wick filling stations, Ogles Chemist in St John’s, Colstons Bakery in St John’s, Bromwich Road chip shop, St John’s Pet Shop, the Liquor Shop in Lower Wick, the Swan at Martin Hussingtree and the Bull in Inkberrow have been holding collections for the the city’s community first responders.
Diamond Car Wash in Bromwich Road has been washing their vehicle free of charge and Barbourne Ex-Servicemen’s Club has been allowing them free use of the building for meetings.
CFR Heather Jones said: “We’d like to thank everybody who has chipped in. We can keep the response car on the road and we are able to buy more kit.
“We’re now talking about getting a second response car on the road.”
CFRs are a team of volunteers who are trained by the ambulance service to a nationally recognised level and provide lifesaving treatment to people in their local communities.
