THOUSANDS of music lovers have enjoyed a festival in a Worcester park for the fourth year running.
Minifest took place in Cripplegate Park, St John’s, on Saturday.
The free festival had an around-the-world theme in a bid to unite cultures and celebrate the London Olympics.
Games, sports and a tug-of-war competition were set up in the park and the event also saw performances from Steve Maitland, a Michael Buble tribute act, and rock band This Wicked Tongue.
Also keeping the crowd happy was Lewis Spelt Backwards who specialises in vocal looping.
The event, which is organised by Youthcomm Radio, was broadcast live on the station’s 106.7FM frequency.
Chris Keen, Youthcomm’s breakfast presenter, said: “It was awesome.
“It was definitely the best year we’ve had so far.
“It was busy throughout and there was more variety.
“Last year we had 4,000 people but this year we think it was 4,500.”
