A WOMAN was left physically shaken and scared after a man indecently exposed himself on a Worcester footpath.

The woman was in the back garden of her property at about 11am on Monday when the incident happened.

She noticed a man stood in a gateway which leads onto a public footpath that runs along the river parallel with Henwick Road.

He then exposed himself to the householder and was seen to touch himself.

On seeing this, the woman walked away from the man towards her house.

PC Jan Timberlake from Worcester police station said: "This happened on the footpath very near to some ferry steps which lead down to the river off Henwick Road, in the vicinity of the Total garage.

"The woman targeted in this incident was left physically shaken, scared and disgusted by this man's behaviour.

"The man is described as white, about 5ft, of a slight build, with light coloured, short, neat hair.

"He is described as having a long, slender, pointed nose.

"He is aged in his late 20s to early 30s. He was wearing a light-coloured long sleeved top, with lightweight, light-coloured trousers.

"Members of the public of all ages use this footpath next to the river and I am keen to hear from anyone who may have seen a man matching this description in the area on the day of the offence, or might recognise who he is from the description given."

Anyone with information about the incident should call PC Timberlake on 0300 3333000, quoting 311-S-250612 or ring Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
