THREE people have been arrested in connection with the petrol bombing of a Droitwich charity office.
West Mercia Police have confirmed that three men were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit arson following three fires at Charles Henry House.
A man in his 20s was arrested on Tuesday and another – also in his 20s – was arrested on Wednesday. Both have been released on police bail while inquiries continue.
A third man in his 40s was arrested yesterday and remains in police custody.Meanwhile, Protective Beha-viours UK, whose offices are in the block in Worcester Road, is appealing for help to get back on its feet following the latest attack at midnight on Tuesday.
While they have temporarily relocated to an office above, loaned to them by Severn Valley Home Imp-rovements, smoke and fire damage has left them without office essentials such as stationery, cardboard boxes and electrical items.
Maria Huffer, charity manager, made an urgent appeal to anyone who could help with the loan of equipment.
She said: “Obviously we’re devastated by the fire. It’s completely wiped us out and we’re at ground zero.
“We work really hard to ensure people live safely in their community and now we’re not able to help the people we do all day everyday because we have lost everything, even our basic stationary.
“We can’t access any of our day-to-day information and we’ve just about managed to get one smoky phone working.
“Some volunteers are going to help us clear out our paperwork on Saturday. I’m so grateful they’re coming along and if anyone could donate tea, coffee, cakes and bits and pieces for that day it would be a huge help.
“Also, we appeal to any businesses who have got any spare stationary or electrical items we can use so we can get back on our feet.”
