FIRE crews worked to rescue a man from a Worcester riverbank in the early hours of this morning.
Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service received reports of a man stuck in the mud to the rear of College Yard and Worcester Cathedral at about 2.45am.
A boat from Worcester, one fire engine, a further boat from Evesham and water first responders from Malvern attended the scene and worked to stabilise and rescue the man.
An ambulance was also called to carry out precautionary checks on the male, who had been removed from the riverbank at about 3.09am.
