A VICIOUS attack in a Worcester pub’s car park has left a man needing surgery for his shattered cheek and jawbone.

West Mercia Police are hunting the attackers of a 19-year-old man who was punched and kicked in the car park of the Oak Apple pub in Spetchley Road in the Nunnery area of the city at about 8.30pm on Wednesday, October 3.

The victim, who is from Droitwich, was assaulted by two men who left the scene in a small white van.

PC Robert Seewoosaha, investigating: "This was an unprovoked and vicious attack on a young man, who needed surgery to insert metal plates where his cheekbone was broken.

“The two men involved in the assault are both described as white with one being around 6ft tall, of a very stocky build, with dark brown hair and a beard, while the other man is described as being about 5ft 10ins tall and of a medium build.

"I would appeal to anyone who was in the pub on the night in question and remembers seeing the men described above, or knows who they might be from the description given, to get in touch."
