POLICE believe thieves might be trying to sell a model train stolen in Bromsgrove.

The handmade train engine was stolen from a storage unit on the outskirts of the district but officers are unsure when the theft took place.

The green train engine, which is 2.5ft long, was taken along with a tender mounter and railway track.

However, it is not known when the item was stolen as the owner had not visited the site since March. The discovery was made on 15 October.

Sergeant Steve O’Neil said: “We’d like to hear from anyone who has seen this train or perhaps has seen it for sale somewhere.

"Anyone who has any information in relation to this burglary is asked to get in touch with us.”

Anyone who has any information about the train is asked to report it online under the Tell us About section of the West Mercia Police website using reference 266i of 15 October 2020 or call 101.

Alternatively, information can be passed to Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
