A THIEF from Bromsgrove was fined £200 and will be electronically tagged for four weeks after pleading guilty to stealing a mobile phone.

Thomas Nalty, 45, of Burcot Lane, stole the phone, belonging to a woman, on October 14, 2020 and was ordered to pay the fine as compensation to the victim by Kidderminster Magistrates.

He must wear an electronic tag until January 28, 2021 and remain at his home address from 7pm each evening until 7am the following day.

Nalty also pleaded guilty to failing, without reasonable cause, to surrender to custody having been released on bail. No separate penalty was applied for that charge.
