A BUILDING company has won a Master Builder of the Year Award, taking the large renovation project in the Midland region of the national competition. 3W Developments, which is based in Shrawley, scooped the prize for its work on a house in Martley.
It re-developed an existing timber frame property creating an extension with a 180-degree curve to take advantage of the surrounding country views.
Sam Whiting, director of the firm, said: “We are thrilled to win this award. “The project took more than a year to complete so it’s a real honour that our hard work has been recognised in this way. We’re now looking forward to the national award ceremony in London in March where we will compete for the national title.”
3W Developments has won various awards over the last few years, including the Heavenly Builder award for one of its directors in 2011. Its project will now be entered into the national award ceremony at the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge Hotel, London hosted by George Clarke, an architect and TV presenter for Channel 4. If 3W Developments does win the overall Master Builder of the Year title, it will drive away in the brand new Nissan Light Commercial Vehicle worth up to £20,000, while the client who nominated the company wins a £3,000 cash prize.
