TWO members of a Worcester law firm will be taking part for the third year running (and swimming and cycling) in the Upton-upon-Severn triathlon on Saturday, July 12.
Mat Waddington, partner in the law firm's family team, is raising funds for Gloucestershire Young Carers Association and Anna Roby-Welford, marketing director, is raising money for Get Ahead via the firm's charitable rust, which donates to a range of charitable causes across the area.
This is the tenth annual triathlon and the third in which the pair have taken part. The standard course involves a tough 1500m swim, a 40km cycle and a 10km run across the Worcestershire countryside and both are looking forward to the challenge.
Mat Waddington, Partner, said; "I've really enjoyed participating in this event in previous years and it's all for a very worthy cause which is very close to my heart."
Mrs Roby-Welford said: "The Upton-Upon-Severn triathlon is a great event and part of a wider personal challenge for me. This year I'm participating in four half marathons and one triathlon, raising money for our charitable trust as I go."
Mr Waddington added: "I've really enjoyed participating in this event in previous years and it's all for a very worthy cause which is very close to my heart."
Harrison Clark Rickerbys' Charitable Trust has raised more than £145,000 since its inception in 2007 and aims to give back to the communities within which the firm operates.
