FED up with his office job, former University of Worcester graduate Dan Charlton has gone to the other extreme and opened his own outdoor action centre.

Based at Cradley, near Malvern, his company Action Adventures will offer activities like quad biking, archery, laser clay pigeon shooting, air rifle shooting and zorbing, which is being strapped inside a giant transparent ball and rolled down a hill.

"I studied business and marketing at university," explained 28-years-old Mr Charlton, who lives in St John's, Worcester. "I got a job in marketing, but I soon felt there was more to life than just working in an office doing a nine to five shift. The idea of being able to enjoy the outdoors as a job was too big to ignore, so after months of research I decided to open Action Adventures.

"We aim to offer people the chance to do something they can’t do every day. We want them to leave Action Adventures knowing they have done something different, hopefully out of their comfort zone. After all you can’t put a price on memories.

“Interest in Action Adventures is growing by the day and our Facebook and Twitter pages are becoming very popular and are a great way for guests to see pictures of them taking part in the activities and also share with their friends.”

The centre stands beside the main Worcester-Hereford road near Ridgeway Cross
