AN award scheme from Fortis Living has announced its annual award scheme is now open for nominations.
Every year Fortis, which provides more than 15,000 homes throughout the region including Worcestershire, recognises ordinary people within their community doing extraordinary things.
The scheme has gone from strength-to-strength receiving on average 50 nominations each year.
This year's categories include young volunteer of the year, volunteer of the year, community involvement award, inspiration award, kids in the community and group community project.
Michelle Payne, customer engagement assistant at Fortis Living, said: “Within our communities there are always people who go the extra mile and who make a real difference to those around them.
"Our annual awards are all about recognising and celebrating the invaluable contribution that our volunteers make to their communities.
"We are therefore encouraging people to nominate those special Fortis residents we should all know about.”
The closing date for entries is Friday, October 6.
