GENEROUS staff from a Worcestershire law firm have been supporting a county food bank after two devastating break ins.

Generous staff at Mfg Solicitors, which has an office in The Tything and in Kidderminster, donated several boxes of unopened, essential food to Kidderminster Food Bank after Baxter Church Hall in the town centre was burgled twice in recent weeks.

Thieves stole money, a laptop and some food supplies from the hall, leaving staff at the facility unable to provide their usual support to local people in need.

Laura Moore, a solicitor from the law firm, said: “When we found out about the burglary we wanted to do something to help as everyone knows what a big lifeline the food bank is for many people and families in and around Kidderminster.

“We literally filled a car boot full of items like tins, pasta, rice and cereal. We just hope that it helps in some way for the food bank to get back on its feet and restock many of the items which were taken.”

Kidderminster Food Bank provides food for individuals and families in crisis. It also helps people with finding jobs and completing job applications. Last year the Food Bank gave three-day emergency food supplies to more than 2,700 people.
