AN event hosted by a Worcestershire solicitors is raising funds for a local hospice.

Thursfields Solicitors is inviting clients and other local professionals to join them on the Severn Valley Railway service from Kidderminster to Bridgnorth, on Thursday September 13.

The cost is £20 per person with the proceeds going to the KEMP Hospice, which offers care and support to patients and families who are experiencing life-limiting illness and bereavement.

Nick O’Hara, managing director of Thursfields Solicitors, said: “The KEMP Hospice is an inspirational charity in the local community and we’re keen to raise funds to help them continue their great work. We thought a journey on the atmospheric Severn Valley Railway would offer people a slightly different experience while meeting other local professionals and enjoying afternoon tea.”

The Thursfields Solicitors’ journey departs Kidderminster at 3.35pm, arriving at Bridgnorth at 4.45pm, with afternoon tea served en route. Guests will then depart Bridgnorth at 5.25pm, returning to Kidderminster for 6.40pm.
