A WORCESTER-based firm has announced the winner of its second charity giveaway.

Scimitar, based in Hylton Road, has announced the Prince and Princess of Wales Hospice has received more than £2,000 credit towards their next sportswear and promotional item order for fundraising in 2019.

Adam Church-Millward, marketing manager at Scimitar, said: “After the success of last year’s competition and the high levels of interest from hundreds of charities, we are delighted to announce the winner as The Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice”.

This follows on from the inaugural competition in 2017, which was won by Starlight Children’s Foundation.

“The hospice has been rebuilt for 2018 to offer the latest, greatest palliative care possible to those in the Glasgow, Renfrewshire, Cambuslang & Rutherglen regions.

Hopefully, the funds saved with the competition win will help more people benefit from the service of the hospice”.

After hearing of the win for their charity, Caroline Watson at the Prince and Princess of Wales Hospice said: “We’re absolutely delighted to have won the £2,019 charity giveaway. We have just gone through a rebrand so it couldn’t have happened at a better time for us.”
