As I deal with such a wide range of people, from those who are just dipping their toe in the commercial property market for the first time to experienced property developers, my work is full of variety.

As well as doing plenty of landlord and tenant work, I also work with charities buying or selling properties, GPs changing mortgage lenders and businesses buying office premises.

I enjoy building up a rapport with clients whenever I can – the more I know about them, the more I can help them.

My own experience is very wide – I’ve worked for major firms elsewhere and for a local authority, so I can see an issue from different angles.

I very much enjoy working with other professionals – it is always interesting to see an issue from their perspective too.

Often timescales are very tight – some transactions have to be turned round within a week or less, for various reasons, which is a challenge, but exciting at the same time.

Many of my clients are based locally, but others are located in different parts of the country, so that adds variety to what I do.

What I really enjoy is being able to see, often literally, the concrete results of my work.

Walking into a new building, when you know the challenges that went into buying the land initially, or seeing a client grow their business by moving into a bigger building or expanding into a new location, is a great feeling. I feel privileged to have been part of that process.
