Showcasing the very best small businesses in the County

There is just one month remaining for small businesses in Worcestershire to submit or complete their entries for the West Midlands heat of the Federation of Small Businesses’ (FSB) ‘Celebrating Small Business Awards’.

With the closing date of Friday 4 January fast approaching - and following the tremendous success of our 2018 programme – we are urging all small businesses in this County that haven’t already done so, to submit or complete their entries.

The Awards recognise all that is best about small businesses, with eleven categories up for grabs. They include best international/exporting business, best use of digital technology and most ethical business practises. Each Award category is supported by a regional or national sponsor organisation and entries will be assessed by a panel of expert judges. Finalists will be invited to attend the West Midlands ‘Celebrating Small Business Awards’ ceremony on Friday 15 February, at the Forest of Arden Marriott Hotel in Meriden.

These awards are completely free and really easy to enter. Yet the associated publicity and kudos are priceless for all those that enter and all those that reach the finals stage. I urge this region’s small businesses to put themselves forward. It’s a great way for them to show what a huge difference they are making – to their employees, to their local communities and to the regional and national economies’.

The eleven regional category finalists will go forward to a sparkling UK Final in London on 23 May at Battersea Evolution. Here, the UK category winners and FSB Business of the Year 2019 will be announced. This will be a sell-out event, attracting more than 500 guests, made from area winners, the judges, sponsors, media, MP’s and industry business leaders.

Last year’s Awards programme was our most successful to date in terms of the number of entries, the quality of entries and the coverage we secured across traditional and social media. We aim to do even better in 2019. I urge Worcestershire small business owners to get their entries in now to avoid missing out on this tremendous, free, business and profile-boosting opportunity!
