A SPECIALIST mobile employment centre is to provide support for disabled and disadvantaged jobseekers in Worcestershire.

Operated by Remploy, the JobsMobile will provide highly personalised back-to- work services including CV writing, interview coaching and enhanced job searching techniques.

The vehicle, which is fully accessible, is fitted with a satellite dish that provides high-speed internet connection to five PCs to assist with job hunting and online job applications.

Providing a five-day-a-week service, the JobsMobile will be in Kidderminster on Tuesdays and Thursdays, Evesham every Friday and Redditch on Mondays and Wednesdays.

Remploy employment advisers Jo Weston and Chris Cartwright will be on hand to offer guidance to disabled jobseekers looking to get back to work or enter the jobs market for the first time.

Mr Cartwright said: “People with disabilities and other health conditions often face serious barriers to finding the right job.

“The JobsMobile will play an important role in delivering our target of supporting 250 disabled people into work in Worcestershire this year.

“There is no doubt this service is needed. The unit will provide an efficient way of delivering tailored support for people who are often farthest from the jobs market.”

Remploy Employment Services operates more than 60 specialist recruitment branches and offices across Britain, including one in Worcester, and is said to be the UK’s leading provider of employment services for people with disabilities and health conditions.
