A GIRL is well advised to keep a giant poppy handy when a smoothie like James Bond starts sidling up to her and even though it was only make believe, associate solicitor Rebecca Leask from Worcester law firm Harrison Clark was taking no chances.

She kept a firm grip on the weapon in case wannabe Bond and Equity member Andrew Cave turned on the charm during a company photoshoot to promote Harrison Clark’s fund-raising James Bond Ball in aid of the Royal British Legion.

It will be the latest venture for Harrison Clark’s own charitable trust, which each year raises many thousands of pounds for charity “Set up in 2007, the idea for Harrison Clark’s charitable trust was simple; to give back to the communities within which we operate with our time, advice and financial assistance,” said Jonathan Brew, one of the trustees and senior partner at Harrison Clark.

“Since it was formed, the trust has raised more than £100,000 helping numerous worthy causes with a variety of successful events, from the ever popular Harrison Clark charity quiz, to VIP fashion shows, balls and dinners.

“A great deal of the events are set up in partnership with local or regional charities, and are organised to be a fun, social occasion that promotes networking and raises as much money as possible.

“The monies are then distributed by the trustees, including partners of Harrison Clark as well as independent local professionals.”

The James Bond Ball will be held at the Hatherley Manor Hotel, near Cheltenham on Saturday, November 12.
