A YOUNG business owner says he was 'saddened' to discover three of his five vans were destroyed in an 'arson attack' that nearly left him 'bankrupt.'
Ricky Gorman, 28 started up his business, Reliable Rubbish Removals, with friend Benny Heagren during lockdown.
The savvy businessman said he was saddened to see that one of his vans had been set alight and two others were damaged beyond repair on Sunday afternoon.
He said: "We used to leave them in the car park at the West Worcester Youth Football Club as we had an arrangement with the landowner, but after this we have nowhere to store our vans and only two to use for jobs.
"It has nearly bankrupted us. I would like to think the people responsible are just misguided kids and it wasn't something more sinister, but it has had a massive impact on the business. It's a nightmare.
"Nevertheless we are still working and are still available should our customers need us."
