ONE of Worcestershire's favourite actors has hit the headlines after alleging having to be removed from a New York bar.

Kit Harington, who plays Jon Snow in the global phenomenon Game of Thrones, is seen unsteady on his feet next to a pool table in the Barfly pub on Friday night, during video footage that has been uploaded onto the internet.

TMZ has reported the 31-year-old, who moved to Worcestershire at the age of 11 before becoming a star, was "drunk, banged on the pool table, grabbed at pool cues and got in people's faces before being kicked out".

An eyewitness is also quoted as saying that the actor, who is engaged to co-star Rose Leslie, initially agreed to leave the bar but then returned and "had to be dragged out" the Big Apple bar.

Less than 24 hours later the former Chantry School pupil was reportedly hungover on the red carpet at the Sean Penn & Friends Haiti Rising Gala in Los Angelos.

The charity gala also hit the headlines as Brad Pitt's $120,000 bid to watch an episode with dragon queen Emilia Clarke and Kit Harington, was beaten by another GoT fan who spent $160,000 for the prize.

Harington and Clarke both also attended the Golden Globes at the weekend to present the award for Best Comedy Series.

Last week it was confirmed the final series of the hit HBO show would not be airing until 2019.
