AN INVESTIGATION is underway after burglars broke into a home in a country lane in Rubery, and "brutally slaughtered a young calf and sheep, potentially to harvest the meat".
West Mercia Police is appealing for information on the savage attack, which took place at a home on Redhill Lane, between 9pm Sunday, February 11, and 8am Tuesday, February 13.
A spokesman said: "The offender or offenders forced entry to the home, and brutally slaughtered a young calf and sheep, potentially to harvest the meat.
"Anyone with any information about the incident is asked to contact West Mercia Police on 101, quoting incident number 0130S 130218."
