AN investigation has been launched after a woman in her seventies was sexually assaulted in Droitwich.

The woman had been walking her dog at around 1pm on April 22 when a man in his late 20s or early 30s reportedly assaulted her.

She had been walking her dog along a footpath running from Blake Avenue to Witton Avenue in the town when the man, described as being of a stocky build with a dark brown bushy beard assaulted her.

He was wearing a beanie-type hat sweater, green shorts, converse-style shoes and carrying a small rucksack.
