STUDENTS of Heart of Worcestershire College were visited by a special guest- Holocaust survivor Joanna Millan.

They heard her testimony and experiences of what it was like to have lived through the atrocity, and there was a question and answer session after too.

The visit forms part of the Heart of Worcestershire College’s visitor speaker programme and the Holocaust Educational Trust’s, which organised the visit, extensive all year round Outreach Programme, which is available to schools across the UK.

Debbie Morris, of the college, said: "It is a privilege for us to welcome Joanna Millan to the college and her testimony will remain a powerful reminder of the horrors so many experienced.

"We are grateful to the Holocaust Educational Trust for co-ordinating the visit and we hope that by hearing Joanna’s testimony, it will encourage our students to learn from the lessons of the Holocaust and make a positive difference in their own lives."

It went ahead on Tuesday, January 12.
