SIR – Our councillors’ recent comments and onslaught on student conduct and homes of multiple occupation (Worcester News, January 28) are disgraceful.
The university takes the conduct and integration of its students in the community very seriously.
It employs an effective security team that intervenes over reported incidents – it evaluates where its powers extend or refers an incident higher to be dealt with Last year my wife had a car accident and it was compassionate university students who took her into their accommodation, calmed her down and escorted her back home.
I have far more faith in the university managing the conduct of their students than our councillors.
Our unviersity salavaged our city but our councillors are biting off the hand that feeds them.
