SIR – The failed Tory coalition Government continuously attacks the workers.
In April this year a new bedroom tax comes into effect.
If you are a tenant in a council property and you have spare bedrooms that are not continually occupied then you will pay a tax on the empty bedroom, or you can move to a smaller house.
In theory this sounds a good idea, so what is the reasoning behind it?
In Worcestershire we are earmarked for 40,000 new homes to be built somewhere, allowing council tenants to move to smaller homes.
Could it be in response to the 29 million Romanians/Bulgarians who have the right to come here this year, especially as the EU expands southwards into North Africa.
This will not help our unemployed. Perhaps council tenants will be asked to move Bulgaria.
