SIR – It was interesting to read Sarah Davies’s report on the problems with the pavement on the Worcester Bridge (Worcester News, February 8).

The Diglis and Commandery area is also very popular for walkers and tourists to our city.

The paved area between the Texaco garage in Bath Road and the Sidbury junction is the worst and most dangerous stretch of pavement I have ever encountered.

The pavements and road surface in Diglis Road are also in an appalling state.

This area links with the wonderful new paved walk alongside the river from the Diglis canal to South Parade.

The relevant councillor has been written to but I am not confident of any action.
