SIR – As an Anglican, aged 76,I am very shocked that Pope Benedict is retiring.
I do sincerely hope and pray that following his abdication no one will attempt to prosecute him, as has been suggested in some sections of the media. Leave the poor old chap in peace. God will one day be his judge.
Good luck, Papa, all Christians must pray for him.
