SIR – “It’s fairer” is the Tory warcry when trying to explain their actions against the disabled on benefits as they try to force and cajole them into work.
So why did they withdraw funding from Remploy, who had 54 factories employing many hundreds of disabled people.
As a result they have dumped these vulnerable people onto a jobs market to compete against more ablebodied people who also cannot find work.
Now that the disabled have been forced out of work the Government continues to cut their benefits to encourage them back into work.
Make sense? No. Nasty Tories? You bet.
