SIR – Re the new Worcestershire flag (Worcester News, April 8).
How can a symbolic representation of rivers, some fields and three pears possibly represent the wide variety of important industries including agriculture, engineering, radar and communication technology, defence-related companies, machine tools, world famous car and carpet manufacturing, to name but a few of the many and varied enterprises in the county.
So, the flag design, although aesthetic, will do little to promote our dynamic county on the world map.
