SIR – Jon Burgess writes that British farmers care about the welfare of the animals they breed for slaughter (Worcester News, January 6).
Why, then, do these same farmers send their sheep and calves on long arduous journeys across the sea as live exports to face goodness knows what sort of conditions when they finally reach their destination?
Anyone wanting to join the campaign against the live export of animals should look on kaale.org.uk.
