Reports are coming in that the driver of a white van slowed and came to a stop to allow a cat to safely cross the road.
It is claimed that amazing event took place on the B4205 Tolladine Road near the junction with Ambleside Drive at about 08:30 on Wednesday 2nd July.
Understandably, the witness was initially reluctant to come forward and has asked that their identity be kept secret as they fear they may be subjected to abuse as a result of reporting the incident.
