SIR - After reading about Nicholas Murphy's dog Gunner I would like to say how said to lose a family pet like that.
Unless people have a pet they cannot understand, they become part of the family.
I have four dogs I would be devastated if it was one of mine.
No one should make this mistake.
Katie Hopkins in my book is not a TV star far from it. I have seen her many times. She is opinionated yes but only when it involves things she doesn't like. She probably doesn't have pets that would be too hard for her so she has no right saying she feels sorry for the vet.
It's the poor dog who lost its life and the family who are suffering.
It's shocking.
