Sir - There has been much criticism of the energy companies of late and of how many consumers are paying too much for their energy.
I am not an apologist for or have any connections with the energy companies but would like to restore some balance to this debate.
I am a npower customer and have managed to reduce what I pay for my gas by around 30% over the past couple of months.
I have switched tariffs twice during that time, npower send me regular statements and on those statements they tell me that if I switch to another tariff I can save some money. I call them up and within about 10 minutes I have switched and begin saving money.
The energy companies are bringing down prices, but if consumers are too lazy to do anything about it they shouldn't complain if they get ripped off!
