Thought I had acquired an old WN dated 1 April. Having lived in the area for over 50 years one can state the site DOES flood. How rapidly is the flood level rising? The last bungalow on the right hand side of Old Northwick Lane now has water around it when the river floods. There are other matters to take into account. The Council always insisted on bungalows to complete the left hand side of Northwick Road. Likewise down Old Northwick Lane. When plans were deposited for the orchard which is now Lucerne Close, the owners stipulated only single storey properties with exception of three split level where the land dipped. When proposed developers have wanted to build on this site the Council INSISTED on bungalows and no more then 40/42. Why the change? Where will the developer be when these properties flood? Gone, never to be seen again! G Russell Northwick
