SIR - With reference to Brian Hunt's letter concerning combi boilers - I understand and agree with Mr Hunt's desire not to waste water, and would therefore draw his attention to the latest energy-efficient condensing combis offered by Worcester, Bosch Group which address the issues he raises.
Worcester's range of Greenstar condensing combi boilers heat water directly from the mains as you use it, rather than having to heat stored water in a cylinder.
They offer almost instant hot water, due to the in-built keep hot' facility, and also supply hot water at mains pressure.
As, on average, a shower uses considerably less water than a typical bath, the savings on domestic water usage and hot water costs can be significant.
I trust that this clarifies the current situation, and allays any fears Mr Hunt may have for the future.
