SIR – In reply to Peter Alcock (August27), I was born and raised in the Diglis area of Worcester.
We had a man who kept pigs in Portland Walk and we gave him any left-over food. This wasn’t a lot as we couldn’t afford to throw food away. There was never a service run by the council.
