SIR – I refer to Tom Wareing’s contribution, (Letters, October 29). We blokes should remember how much we owe to what we like to call the fair sex.

As with myself, Mr Grant and his admirer, Tom Wareing, would never have seen the light of day had it not been for the agonies of women. So you are a supporter of life Mr Grant, what about the lives of mothers-to-be?

Women whose pregnancies put their lives in above average danger or who are pregnant because they have been raped should decide themselves whether to have an abortion without interference or moralising from men.

D E MARGRETT,

Worcester.
