SIR – A few weeks ago my wife and I decided we would visit Worcester City. However never again.
We sat in Greyfriars NT garden, after visiting the house. After a short while we moved because of the constant droning which we both thought was building work in the area.
Going around the cathedral we decided to sit in the grounds. However, this droning had followed us.
On enquiring about this we were told it was from an aircraft that had been circling for about three years.
Even after returning to our accommodation and closing the window we could still hear it. If this is what the citizens of your city have to put up with, we feel sorry for them. We are both in our early seventies and restrict our driving distance. We will never visit Worcester again.
If I, or my neighbours were to use lawnmowers to this extent, we would be prosecuted.
