SIR – Spider 666 on the web from Droitwich remarks about new powers being given to police in Upton-upon-Severn.
He says make it illegal to drink in the streets. There is an alcohol free zone in Gheluvelt Park, Worcester, with no admittance at night, but one can still see cans and so on during the next day.
It needs the police and/or wardens to check more frequently. After all how often do we hear of an offender being caught for any kind of litter, let alone being fined?
