SIR – Some years ago I wrote about the badges of the disabled being misused and suggested that there should be badges of different colours. I have lost or mislaid the letter. Also I have forgotten the contents, but this is just a suggestion. Red badges – unable or very painful to walk. Blue badges – able to walk only short distances. Green badges – heart and blood problems, but walking not impared. Yellow badges – other disabilities.
