Sir – I have just been to a wonderful gala concert, perfomed at Worcester’s Huntingdon Hall by the Elgar School of Music.

Performances included, children and adult singers, cellists, pianists, violinists – however, the creme de la creme of the evening was a performance by tenor Alan Travis.

He filled the hall with his beautiful powerful voice, singing Core’ingrato by S Cardillo. He also performed Amigos para Siempre by Lloyd Webber, with equally powerful soprano Sally Bateman.

Please, please can we have more concerts from our local artists. Worcester certainly has got talent.

J Griffin,
Malvern.
