SIR – I’m surprised it is as many as 200 vehicles a day using the park and ride car park at Perdiswell.
My six-year-old son gets very excited when he sees a Woosh! bus coming down the Barbourne Road.
We have a family game in which we each guess how many passengers will be on board.
The winning number is usually between one and three, and it is a bold player who guesses more than five, even in peak periods. In principle, park and ride is a good idea, but it just does not work when there is no room for a dedicated bus lane for most of the route.
Meanwhile, I am left wondering how it helps the environment or congestion to transport one or two people in a large bus (at great expense) rather than them staying in their family car.
Kelvin Hard,
Worcester.
