SIR – So, the Australian RSPCA sued ITV for killing a rat by cutting its head off, taking it one-and-a-half minutes to die in I’m A Celebrity. Is no one bothered about the thousands of cattle that are killed in this country for halal meat? This barbaric way of killing animals by cutting their throats takes them more than two-and-a-half minutes to die an agonising death. This is going on every day now.
