SIR - I totally agree with your Comment article about the housing plans for the city (Worcester News, June 7). How many people will be affected in the same way as myself?
Because of the Diglis redevelopment, three large houses are to be demolished for the link road to be built to take HGV traffic 25 yards from the back of my house. I am 77 years old, registered blind and my garden is a haven to me after tending it for 47 years.
A councillor's reply to my query regarding compensation for pollution from light, fumes and noise was: "Developers were granted planning permission and any decisions were up to them now." In other words, the council couldn't care less.
MRS G MURPHY,
Worcester.
