SIR – It was with much delight I read your article, (Worcester News, June 29), on swifts.
We’ve had the pleasure of these birds coming to our house for about 10 years from the beginning of May until the end of July.
My husband, when replacing barge boards in plastic on the side of the house, where they nest, cut out a part for the birds to enter.
Thankfully it didn’t disturb their entry for the following year. To stand in the garden with these birds diving over your head is sheer joy in summer.
