SIR - It is said that the prisons are full to bursting so they let criminals walk free because there's no room. But they soon found a place for yet another pensioner who refused to pay her council tax as a protest. It just shows that withholding money is a far bigger crime than some I can think of. What some people seem to forget is that most pensioners went through a world war and are not intimidated that easily by pen-pushers.
