SIR – I’m 74 years old and have supported Worcester City Football Club since I was a boy. When the decision was made to move from St George’s Lane I was very sad. I will always cherish the happy times I’ve had at the Lane. But I was also very pleased that the plans to move to Nunnery Way were kicked into touch. This would have been a disaster for the club as would a groundshare out of the area.
That’s a very silly idea that I think would be the end of our football team.
There has been much talk about a move to the Cinderella sports ground in St John’s.
This seems to have the backing of many fans and I believe this would be a great place to move. It appears that if nothing is sorted out soon then talk of losing my team will fast become a reality. Time and tide wait for no man.
BOB ADAMS, Worcester
