SIR – We are told that Parliament runs our democracy but can that be true?
While we were being dumped inextricably into the EU Parliament was spending months debating fox hunting at the request of Worcester’s first so-called Labour MP.
I think someone is having an enormous laugh at our expense!
No, if I wanted to get a grip on who runs Britain I would have a full public inquiry into how four billion pounds of taxpayers’ money is spent every year when it is handed over to the unelected mandarin class who run “our” BBC!
If I want to know what policy “our” government is likely to come up with next I listen to the Dimblebys and Paxmans of this world and ignore “my” MP and Parliament`s irrelevant twitterings altogether.
