SIR – We must push for rail improvements. The council wants to cut buses and they could do if they cut the buses where there was a good train service and used the money saved for the outlying villages where there’s no train service.
The Victorians had it right.
They used trams a lot. So if we use the trains more, we’d all be much better off.
